"Militia Captains are often experienced veterans, earning their stripes against raids and attacks from the denizens of the Mildaark Forest, or from adventures outside it. Those who do travel to darker places and live to return back to their villages, albeit with more scars and possibly less limbs than before, are seen as folk heroes amongst their fellow Halflings, and are treated with reverence and respect. Strawbridge is one of these fabled Captains. He is known for his passion for his posting, so much so that, rather than a part-time duty to his town, he has taken the full-time role of Captain of the Town Guard. Not only is it his duty to investigate crimes and keep the law within Dryfield in times of peace, but to lead his hardened veterans into battle in times of peril!"
