"In ArcWorlde there are many different breeds of Gryphon. The Cocklegriff is a lesser species that can be mainly found around the hills and woods of Hobbleshire. They resemble, as other Gryphons, a mixture between feline and avian, and the Cocklegriff has the proud head, forelegs and wings of a great fighting cock. Although not as gifted at flight as other Gryphons, they more than make up for it on the battlefield with their ferocity, disembowelling their victims with vicious strokes of their long, razor sharpspurs. They are often found flitting amongst the hills and valleys of Hobbleshire, and they are used by the most high ranking of Halfling military officers as mounts for war."

This miniature is cast in High Quality resin. This miniature is supplied unpainted and unassembled. Plastic Base not currently included with this miniature.
PRE - ORDER. This Pre Order will finish on the 7th of June 2012. If you place an order for this model, the money will be instantly widthdrawn from your PayPal account, as if you have made a normal purchase. Once an order has been made, you will be updated regularly on the progress of the casting, and then notified when the model has been sent to you. If 15 orders have not been made by the 7th of June 2012, then the model will not be cast and all monies paid will be refunded.
NEW - If 30 orders have been made by the 7th of June 2012, then I will sculpt a Halfling Captain to ride the Cocklegriff, and everyone who had placed an order will get one for FREE when they are cast!

Argh. I want this miniature, but i don't want it without a rider. I have no use for a cocklegriff on its own. So what to do?
Am i understanding you correctly if i say a) you're only ever making the rider if you meet the 30 miniatures mark and then its free, or b) the rider is the being made now we met the 15 mark but just not free unless we meet the 30 mark?
Because if it's A, then im not ordering one since i might not get a rider, but if B, then i can a rider no matter the outcome.

If the 30 order mark is reached, I will sculpt the rider NOW and everyone will get a free one. If it doesn't I will save the rider for the next halfling release, which may be 6 months to a year away... So if you don't mind waiting for him then I suggest you hold back for now!
Tell you what - if it comes to only one or two needed for the 30 mark, why don't you chip in then? Then theres a much better chance of you getting your halfling sooner than if you were to wait!

I'd say order it now, anyways. That 's what I have done. gives me more time on the griff befor I get the rider.
Hehe. I don't really need time before the rider, since I have tons of halflings to paint already (so i have no time, if that makes sense...). But my halfling army is progressing at an alarming speed, just wish the painting would too.
Ill check in in a couple of days and we'll take it from there.
Yeay. looks like it'll get cast after all. It frightend me a little, for a while. PPL where so slow to comit there money.
It its a fantastic idea to include the rider. And I love the sketch.
A thing that bothers me tho, is that 30 pre sales is quite alot (I think), when you compare it to the ulule cast up projects. The halflings where a record, and they only had 20 ppl suporting. I hope you still do the rider and release him at a later stage.
Yes, thirty is a lot, but if all of us who have already bought in can persuade a friend to get one too, then it's easily achieved.
The rider is essentially a free add-on if there are enough pre-orders to make it cost effective. If we do our bit to spread the word, it seems a fair reward.

Warpy, I think it's about time to update the coutdown counter. It's still stuck on 14, I'm possitive that it's atleast reached 5 by now. ;-)
No but seriously, keep up the good work, and post on as may forums and places as possible. I suggest using Ebay (as I said on you FB profile) and other places ppl get there models from as well. Don't know if you have been in contacted by hobby journalists (as in podcasters and bloggers) with intrest in you models?

Looks like we'll need somthing like a miracle to get the rider for free.
Just have to wait untill the next halfling update. Any idea of when it'll be? I hope that the trapper and dog is in it as well as some sheep/goat riders to fill out a regiment, oh and a fiew more elite guards to fill out the unit just a little. The cart may also be in it... Hmm what do you intend to have in that update.
